Milkweed and Monarch 2
A traditional Penobscot barrel form basket from my climate change series with: endangered milkweeds, represented by the green and natural ash color (white). Orange folds evoke monarch butterflies alighting on the milkweed plants now being edged out in Maine by invasive plants creeping farther to the north. Striping represents the caterpillar stage.
