Split and pounded ash wood with braided sweet grass. This basket celebrates the prolific return of the ancestral fish, the alewives to Maine rivers this year. The braided sweet grass woven in the cover represents the top of the fish and the "scales" are woven with folded ash wood. Includes the amazing long lasting, summer scent of Maine sweetgrass, harvested beside the ocean.
