Periwinkle snail design is identical on top (cover) and bottom (base of the basket). Materials are: ash wood and sweet grass. This an old âsweet grass flat designâ dating back to the 1800âs. The snail is a nod to one of the traditional subsistence foods of Wabanaki people in Maine. Woven in 2022.
